A lot’s happened in my life over the last few weeks, but most of it revolves around one basic fact: I quit my job at WideOrbit to take a new one with De Novo Software. The project I’m working on now is a program for flow cytometry, a type of analysis of medical sample data used in diagnoses and research. (In Delphi, of course.) It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun to work on.
The not-fun part involved leaving my beloved Seattle behind and moving waaaaaaay across the country to Los Angeles, where De Novo has its offices. Things are a bit… different here, to say the least. And going grocery shopping and getting charged $45 for what should have been $30 worth of food really sucked! But all in all I think I’m slowly getting accustomed to this place.
It’s going to be an interesting year…
